"I was amazed that the installation only took three hours, and they did a marvellous job of clearing up after themselves. The installers were polite and courteous, and answered all of my questions"

Rockwarm arrange for the insulation of your property to be carried out by their teams of fully trained specialists, approved by certification of both the BBA (British Board of Agreement) and by KNAUF Approved Installers. (NB - we do not sub-contract work)
Holes are drilled into the mortar line of the outer brickwork pattern, approximately 1.4 metres apart.
With semi-detached properties a cavity brush will be placed in the cavity flush to the adjacent property to prevent any spillage of material into the neighbours cavity. The loose wool is then blown into the cavity until it is tightly packed and no gaps are left.
A pressure sensor on the blowing machine cuts off the flow of material when it has reached the correct density in the cavity.
The holes are then re-filled with matching mortar, and the site is thoroughly cleaned after the installation is complete.
Rockwarm has chosen KNAUF - SUPAFIL as its preferred supplier of insulation materials. As one of the market leading insulation product.
A tailor-made product designed to meet individual customer requirements, Supafil is a premium quality, non-combustible, glass mineral wool insulation designed to be blown into existing cavity walls. Supafil Cavity Wall Insulation is a loose, shot free, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation which requires no mixing on site.
You can download the KNAUF Supafil datasheet here.
Supafil Cavity Wall Insulation is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1.
Tests by the British Board of Agrement confirm that Supafil Cavity Wall Insulation will not transmit water to the inner leaf. Nor will they transmit moisture by capillary action across the cavity or from below DPC level. This has been confirmed by independent research conducted for the Energy Saving Trust, which shows that cavity wall insulation does not add to the risk of water penetration.
Once you have made contact with Rockwarm, one of our fully trained Surveyors will arrange a time that is convenient with you, in order to visit your home and complete a thorough and detailed Survey. This includes recording all aspects of the home, detailing flues, airbricks to be sleeved etc. This information is of crucial importance, in order to maintain adequate ventilation of the property when installing cavity wall insulation.
After the survey is completed the Surveyor will leave you with an order form detailing the no-obligation quotation, for you to proceed with should you choose to.
All cavity wall installations with Rockwarm are covered by the Independent Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA), which automatically protects you and your property against any defective materials or workmanship. This guarantee is for 25 years.
